Hi! I’m Athena, and welcome to Cookie Chemistry. I started this site because I love science (especially chemistry) and wanted a way to combine it with my interest in baking. To me, every recipe feels like a mini-experiment: ingredients are the variables, the oven is the lab, and the final product is the result.

I’ll be using this blog to share my baking journey and the “lab notes” I learn along the way. Some posts will be about my experiments in the kitchen, and others will dive into the science behind why recipes work (or don’t!).
Even though I haven’t started baking for this project yet, this blog will grow as I do. Each post will be a step in learning how to make something sweet and understanding the chemistry behind it.
